By the Sea Masculine Cards

Yes! It is that time of the week again for me down here in Australia -  Monday morning -  and I have my Mad About Scrappin project to share with you all.

This Monday I have created four cards.  I think they fit a masculine theme very well and I can never have too many masculine cards!!

I have used up a lot of scrap papers from the Graphic 45 "By the Sea" collection.

To create all four of my cards I have use Kraft card bases that can be found in the Scrapbooking section in most Kmart stores down here in Australia and I believe in some over the ditch in New Zealand.  My first two card measure approximately 6"x6" and I have used some jute, hessian (burlap) ribbon and an antique bronze button to embellish.

For my second card I have used some more hessian ribbon and a metal charm.

The following two cards are a lot smaller and measure 4"x6".  Again I have used hessian ribbon, bakers twine and added some fussy cutting elements to embellish with.

I just want to send out a big BIG thank you to Leanne from Mad About Scrappin for sending me the two Graphic 45 papers "Botanical Tea" and "By the Sea".  They have been wonderful to work with and absolutely inspirational!

Well guys that it, that's my share for this week. Please stop by all the Mad About Scrappin links:-

Creative Inspiration - Week 26

Welcome to another week of sharing on behalf of Mad About Scrappin.

This week I will be sharing with you another creation using this Photo Freedom kit by Echo Park.

Now this week I decided to create a layout using photos that aren't really perfect photos and have so many different colours in them that they may have normally not been the best to use as a feature on a layout. However I still believe that the tell a story. They capture a moment in time that is priceless and needs to be recorded no matter what they look like. So I cleaned the photos up and printed them in black and white to play with them.

So here what I have created this week.
I have fun playing around with bits and pieces from this kit this week. I have teamed up this paper range with a piece of dotty kraft card stock to add a little texture to the layout.

I decided to add a stitched border to this layout. I felt it was just "missing" something. Oh and I must say... I LOVE the little paper graph bags from Mad About Scrappin !!!! so much so that after getting some to play with this month I purchased every colour and style they have in store. They are so cute AND the prefect size for photo pocket pages. The make create ways to add some hidden journalling or add some memorabilia you want to add to your page. Best of all they add that little bit extra to your page! I have teamed mine up with some twine, and a few matching stickers from the kit to create this page.

I have also love playing around with the 3'x4' journal cards in this kit this time around too. I created the title for this page on one of the 3'x4' journal cards using a wooden word as the main part of the title and then used some kaiser craft mini alphas to finish it off.

To finish off the last bit of this page I threw on a few Studio Calico chevrons and arrow in cork board. They add to the fun feel of this layout.

Have you checked out the latest products in the Mad About Scrappin store lately ??

Till next week.

By the Sea Configuration Box

Hello everyone, It is Monday in my neck of the woods, which means it is time for me to share my Mad About Scrappin project.  This week I have taken a humble pizza box that I received a recent design kit in and transformed it into an upcycled confuguration box.

I started out with all of this .......

then narrowed it down to just this......

I then used these strips to reinforce and strengthen the sides of the box (pictured below)

I cut some "shelving" from some extra thick corrugated cardboard....

and then interlocked them like this.....

Once I had all this done, I decided to cover it all with black card stock instead of painting.  I felt that the card stock would give a more finished surface to the corrugated card board.

I then gathered my supplies. Shells from our time on the South Coast....some drift wood, a piece of sea sponge and last but not least some sand filled little bottles...{yes, I even brought home some beach sand lol ;)}... I will let the pics do the rest of the talking for me, as they speak so much better than I can!!  .....

Well that's my Monday Mad About Scrappin share for this week.  A bit of a longer post this week ;)  ♥ ♥ ♥ Thanks for stopping by......
